1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Disciplinely ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Disciplinely is a mobile application that helps users build self-discipline and track personal rules through habit tracking, daily check-ins, and progress monitoring. The App operates primarily offline and stores data locally on your device.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Disciplinely. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the App.

4. User Accounts

Disciplinely does not require user accounts or registration. The App operates locally on your device without cloud-based authentication.

5. Subscription Services

5.1 Subscription Plans

Disciplinely offers the following subscription plans:

  • Free Plan: Basic features with limited rule tokens
  • Monthly Plan: $4.99 per month
  • Annual Plan: $34.99 per year
  • Lifetime Plan: $79.99 one-time payment

Rule Tokens: Your subscription plan includes a fixed number of rule tokens that allow you to create rules with different priority levels. Tokens are allocated based on your subscription tier and CANNOT be purchased with Onyx or real money. For detailed token allocations, see Section 6.3 (Rule Tokens).

5.2 Payment Processing

Subscriptions are processed through third-party payment processors (including but not limited to Apple App Store and Google Play Store). All payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective app store.

5.3 Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings
  • Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds will be provided for the current billing period after cancellation
  • Lifetime subscriptions are non-refundable after purchase

5.4 Free Trial

Disciplinely offers a 7-day free trial for new users. The trial:

  • Does not require a credit card to start
  • Provides access to premium features (analytics, app lock) but does NOT provide rule tokens
  • Does NOT provide access to Prime priority rules
  • Automatically expires after 7 days
  • Does not automatically convert to a paid subscription
  • Can only be used once per user
  • After trial expires: You become a free user and receive free tier token allocation (10 tokens)

5.5 Subscription Expiration and Rule Tokens

When your subscription expires or is cancelled:

  • Token Allocation: Your token allocation automatically reverts from Prime tier (37 tokens) to Free tier (10 tokens)
  • Prime Priority Rules: All Prime priority rules become locked and cannot be accessed or edited until you resubscribe
  • Existing Rules: All existing rules (Low, Medium, High priority) remain accessible and functional
  • Rule Limits: You will be limited to the Free tier token allocation (10 rules total: 5 Low + 3 Medium + 2 High)
  • Data Preservation: All your rule data, check-ins, and progress history are preserved
  • Resubscription: If you resubscribe to Prime, you will regain access to Prime priority rules and receive the Prime tier token allocation (37 tokens) again

6. Virtual Currency and In-App Items

6.1 Virtual Currency (Onyx)

Onyx is a virtual currency that can ONLY be earned through daily rule check-ins and monthly subscription perks. Onyx CANNOT be purchased with real money. Onyx is awarded as a reward for maintaining discipline and adhering to your personal rules.

6.2 Items Purchasable with Onyx

The following items can be purchased using Onyx (earned virtual currency):

  • Streak Protection (Shields): Items that protect your streak from breaking (purchased with Onyx earned through rule adherence)
  • Edit Keys: Keys that allow you to edit existing rules

These items are purchased using Onyx, which is earned through rule completion. These are virtual currency transactions and do not involve real money purchases.

6.3 Rule Tokens

Rule tokens are automatically provided based on your subscription tier (Free or Prime). Tokens are fixed allocations and CANNOT be purchased with Onyx or real money.

  • Free users receive 10 tokens (5 Low + 3 Medium + 2 High)
  • Prime users receive 37 tokens (15 Low + 10 Medium + 7 High + 5 Prime)

Rule tokens are not provided during the free trial period. Rule tokens allow you to create rules with different priority levels and are included with your active plan by default.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
  • Not share your device with others in a way that compromises your data security
  • Maintain the security of your device and app data
  • Not use the App to violate any laws or regulations
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality

8. Data and Privacy

All data created and stored in Disciplinely remains on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on our servers. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Disciplinely and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Disciplinely is a self-improvement and habit-tracking tool and is not a medical, psychological, or other professional service. It does not provide medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we do not guarantee that use of the App will produce any particular results.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email if available. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason we deem necessary.

14. Refund Policy

14.1 Subscription Refunds

Refund requests for subscriptions are handled by your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) according to their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. Lifetime subscriptions are non-refundable after purchase.

14.2 Virtual Currency and In-App Items

Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by your device's app store according to their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

Note: Onyx cannot be purchased with real money and is only earned through rule adherence. Rule tokens are fixed allocations provided automatically based on subscription tier (Free: 10 tokens, Prime: 37 tokens) and cannot be purchased with Onyx or real money.

15. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first contact us through the App's support features or our website to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, you agree to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration or small claims court, as applicable in your jurisdiction.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

For EU Users: If you are located in the European Union, these Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, and you have the right to bring any disputes to the courts of your country of residence.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
